Emmeline is made from one of our most treasured Vintage French fabrics, recreated in a soft, slightly tattered pre-washed cotton. She has ruffles aplenty and exquisite details like the hand dyed lace panel on the bodice of the dress and sweet raw edged ruffle on the hem and over the shoulders.
Note that Emmeline is purposefully a bit tattered and torn. Emmeline is designed to look as if she has come out of an attic trunk, she has raw edges and is delightfully vintage worn. This is not the dress for you if you crave perfection and no loose threads. We feel that Emmeline`s charm is that she is NOT perfect but very artfully sewn to look old and a little worn.

Emmeline can be worn 2 ways - with the ruffles at the back or worn at the front.
Another lovely feature is that the dress can be drawn in with a concealed tie on the high waist to bring the fabric in and give you a more defined shape.
