This exquisite fabric is so hard to capture in a series of photos. Designed by Rose and Violet (Gabriella, Yasmin and Mike ) huddled together in our USA Virginia farmhouse in the woods surrounded by forests and meadows , it was our bolthole as we gathered our collection of long forgotten French ephemera... old perfume labels, antique tattered music covers, scraps of lace almost crumbling in our hands from age, French and English script , wedding vows and dusty old oil paintings ....how to put this together to print as a fabric..... ???
As we scoured through wooden trunks and cardboard boxes , the magic spilled onto the floor and we held our breaths as we surveyed all this forgotten and neglected beauty that we could finally bring some justice to.
Hence after a LOT of choosing and discarding ...the fabric design came to life ...and then sat there for months and months while we worked on size and shapes for actual fabric.
Do you know as designers ..there is never a time of `perfection` ..just a moment when you say ...`that will do ...it is enough !`
so we introduce you to No 2 French Blues

It is the perfect fabric for cutting up and applying to projects in so many ways. We have done the hard work for you and the choosing too ...all put together in pastel shades of buttery creams, soft pinks, pretty greens and the definite attraction of script in pale charcoal ....there are so many shades and tones that Rose de Provence will go with just about anything
as an added detail all our fabrics printed by us have a poem or quote on the selvedge...this one says
`wherever you go, go with your whole heart.... `

Please note: Our fabric is sold in 1/2 metre cuts... should you order more than one unit, the fabric will be cut in a continuous piece. For example: 2 = 1 metre... 3 = 1 1/2 metres and so on.
